Adam Holland
Chief Information Security Officer
Adam Holland has served as Chief Information Security Officer for The Wendy’s Company since June 2022.
He leads the Information Security Strategy and Cyber Security teams in protecting Wendy’s systems, data and services. He excels in the full range of IT security leadership—from regulatory compliance to security policy development, process improvement and team building.
Prior to Wendy’s, Adam worked in a series of leadership roles for GSK Pharmaceuticals. He most recently held the title of Vice President, Global Security Operations for GSK’s Tech Security and Risk department.
Earlier, he spent 10 years in Cybersecurity with Walmart, where he rose to Senior Director in Information Security and Lab Director for Walmart’s eDiscovery and Forensics Services Lab, Security Infrastructure and Security Application Development.
He joined Walmart following a 14-year career with the Fort Smith (Ark.) Police Department, where he built a cyber investigations unit that resulted in numerous arrests and convictions in state and federal court.
His earliest memory of Wendy’s is seeing signage for The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption at his local restaurant. These days, his favorite menu item is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Ark., and an Associate of Applied Science, Technology and Law Enforcement from Southern Arkansas University. He also holds numerous Information Security certifications and memberships, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
Adam serves as an Executive Board Member for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County, Arkansas; as a Board Member for the University of Arkansas, Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department; and as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Forge Institute.
