Dana Calvert

Dana Calvert has served as Vice President, International Chief Development Officer for The Wendy’s Company since March 2023.

She leads the Company’s new restaurant development in Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Dana joined Wendy’s in April 2015 as Director, Real Estate for Eastern Canada. She has also served as Senior Director, Real Estate for Canada and the U.K.

In 2021, she helped launch the Wendy’s brand in the U.K. She has also helped boost the Canadian market with more than one hundred new restaurants since 2015, which she lists among her proudest Wendy’s accomplishments.

Prior to Wendy’s, she managed real estate development for the Canadian retailer Shoppers Drug Mart and later for Cara Operations, Canada’s largest operator of full-service restaurants.

Dana values and practices an open-door policy with her team, and empowers her people to be Wendy’s brand ambassadors within the larger restaurant development community.

A self-proclaimed, “sports mom,” she and her family are always on the go and, thus, often visit a Wendy’s drive thru. Her favorite Wendy’s food is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich.
